According to the Ministerial Order No. 43 of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the enterprises that export certain products to Egypt need to be registered with the General Administration of Import and Export Control, and they need to provide the pre-shipment inspection certificate of the quality inspection agency approved by the Egyptian side when the goods are cleared.

 

Egypt promulgates new regulations for imported textile leather products. At the end of 2011, the Egyptian Ministry of Industry and Trade (MFTI)1 issued two directives requiring textile leather products to be inspected before each shipment and to obtain a certificate of conformity before entering Egypt. market. The full name of CoC in English is Certificate of Conformity, which refers to the name of the certificate issued by CCIC after passing the COC procedure.

 

 

The Egyptian inspection process is carried out by the Egyptian Bureau of Standards (Egypt), the statutory body of the Egyptian government, which is responsible for the development of inspection standards for imported and domestic products for the Egyptian market. Egypt has been undertaking the conformity assessment of local products and imported products for many years. However, inspection of imported goods was limited to shipments after arrival, which not only caused delays in the arrival of goods, but also For unqualified products, Egypt's Inspection Standards Agency Egypt needs to return it or destroy it in a manner that does not pollute the environment and bear additional losses.

 

Egypt's Inspection Standards Agency Egypt began implementing the COC to Standards (COC) program on September 29, 2005. This is a conformity assessment and verification process for specific commodities for each exporting country to ensure that the quality of imported products and the health and safety of Egyptians and environmental protection comply with Egyptian technical regulations and mandatory standards or approved equivalent standards. All goods in the COC catalogue must be issued a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) issued by the Egyptian Agency for Inspection and Quarantine in Egypt prior to shipment.

 

The process of the Egyptian COC customs clearance certificate:

 

The first step: the exporter submits the proforma invoice and the complete application form requires the certificate form (RFC for short)

 

Step 2: The above application form should specify the goods in detail and provide product quality documents such as inspection reports, technical parameters, quality management system certificates, etc.

 

Step 3: Determine feasible implementation plans and usage standards according to the plan.

 

Step 4: If testing is required in the laboratory, we will be responsible for the coordination of the sampling and the implementation of the test.

 

Step 5: After the above steps are completed, an on-site inspection will be carried out by the nearest inspection site of our inspection office. All costs will be borne by the exporter.

 

Step 6: After completing the inspection, the exporter submits the final document (commercial invoice and packing list).

 

Step 7: Kenya issues a customs clearance certificate COC.
