I. Introduction to REACH Certification

“Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals; Chemical Registration, Evaluation, Licensing and Restrictions”. This is the European Union's legislation for the preventive management of all chemicals entering its market, which was officially implemented on June 1, 2007. This is a regulatory proposal involving the safety of chemical production, trade, and use. The regulations are designed to protect human health and environmental safety, maintain and enhance the competitiveness of the EU chemical industry, and develop innovative capabilities for non-toxic and harmless compounds to prevent market fragmentation. Increase the transparency of chemical use, promote non-animal experiments, and pursue sustainable social development. The REACH Directive requires that chemicals imported and produced in Europe must pass a comprehensive set of procedures for registration, assessment, authorization and restriction to better and more easily identify the components of the chemical for the purpose of ensuring environmental and human safety. The directive mainly includes several items such as registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction.

Second, the purpose of REACH certification:

Protecting human health and the environment; maintaining and improving the competitiveness of the EU chemical industry; increasing the transparency of chemical information; reducing vertebrate testing; consistent with the EU's international obligations under the WTO framework. In essence, REACH will promote innovation in the chemical industry to produce safer products that stimulate competition and growth. Unlike the current complex regulatory system, REACH will create a unified chemical management system within the EU that enables companies to follow the same principles to produce new chemicals and their products.

Third, the content of REACH certification:

All chemical substances with annual production or import volume exceeding 1 ton need to be registered, and chemical substances with an annual output or import volume of more than 10 tons should also be submitted for chemical safety report.

  Evaluation includes archival assessment and material assessment. The file assessment is to verify the integrity and consistency of the company's submission of the registration dossier. Substance assessment refers to the risk of confirming that a chemical substance is harmful to human health and the environment.

  Authorization authorizes the production and import of chemical substances that have certain hazardous characteristics and are highly valued, including CMR, PBT, vPvB, etc.

  Restriction restricts its production or import into the EU if it is considered that the manufacture, market or use of a substance or its products, products, and the risks to human health and the environment cannot be adequately controlled. Note: PBT persistence, bioaccumulation and toxic chemicals vPvB high persistence, highly bioaccumulative chemicals CMR carcinogenicity, mutagenicity and biotoxic substances.

Fourth, the test process of REACH certification:

1. Fill in the test REACH test application form, send it to our company with the sample, or send the sample (with REACH test application form) to the company through the courier company.

2. The test fee will be delivered when the sample is delivered. If the sample is delivered to our company, the relevant personnel will fax the payment notice to the customer first. The customer must remit the test fee to our account and fax the remittance voucher to our company for investigation. We confirm that we have scheduled the test after receiving the test fee.

3. After the test is completed, the relevant personnel of the laboratory will first send a PDF electronic version report to your company. The customer who applies for the paper report will then follow the method selected by the customer on the application form.
