E-mark certification
E-Mark is also the European common market. For motorcycles and their safety parts, noise and exhaust gas, they must comply with the requirements of the European Union Directive [EEC Directives] and the European Economic Commission (ECE Regulation). A certificate of conformity is granted to ensure the safety of the vehicle and the requirements for environmental protection. E-Mark is different depending on the country of certification, and the number given is different. For example, if the application is submitted by Luxembourg, the E-Mark mark is E13/e13.

Since October 2002, all vehicles, vehicle parts, and electronic products used in vehicles must be mandated to perform EMC testing. All electronic components sold in Europe must comply with EMC Directive 95/54/EC and self-declaration in accordance with EMC Directive 89/336/EEC will no longer be valid. The notified body of the European Union authorized vehicle products issued the E/eMark certificate. In other words, the CE (EMC) certification originally applied for vehicle electronic and electronic components will no longer be valid from October 2002. It must be re-applied for the E/eMark certificate issued by the European National Transportation Department before it can be sold in the European market.
Certification process
1. The manufacturer prepares technical data and samples.
2. Conduct the test.
3. The first application is subject to factory inspection.
(The manufacturer who has obtained the ISO9000 and other quality system certificates issued by the EU national certification body does not have to do factory inspection in principle).
4. The test report and the manufacturer's technical data are submitted for review.
5. The European national transportation department issues the certificate (the issuing authority may conduct regular or irregular tracking of the factory inspection of the certified product manufacturer).
