Uganda COC

Uganda's Pre-export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) is Uganda's pre-export product conformity certification. From June 9, 2010, Uganda's National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) has implemented new products for certain imported consumer products. Sex assessment plan. All regulated products covered by the PVOC program must be accompanied by a qualified test report or certificate designed to prevent unsafe and inferior goods from entering the Uganda market. For goods subject to PVOC certification, a COC certificate is issued, which is a necessary document for the customs clearance of Uganda's destination port. If these materials are not available, the product will need to be inspected at the port of destination, resulting in high costs and delays. If it is not qualified, it will be banned from entering and returning.

Choose Uganda PVOC inspection method

Uganda PVoC testing has three ways:

ROUTE A: Shipment Inspection and Certification

This method is mainly applicable to exporters/producers who export to Uganda a few times a year (generally no more than three times)

In Route A, goods that are to be exported to Uganda for export must be tested for product performance (see step 4) and on-site inspection prior to shipment to verify that the product meets relevant standards, basic product requirements or manufacturer specifications (see selection criteria for details - Step 2).

This method is applicable to any trade group. The steps for cargo shipment and product certification are as follows:

Step 1: Submit the inspection request form by the exporter

Step 2: Review the RFC and related documents submitted by the exporter

Step 3: Cargo inspection by the relevant designated inspector

Step 4: Issue the final inspection certificate by the PVoC partner

ROUTE B: Customer Registration and Shipment Certification

This approach is mainly applicable to exporters/producers with a large number of exports per year and a relatively single variety.

Registration is valid for one year. Registered products are exempt from mandatory testing when shipped, and the certification process is simply a basic on-site inspection. However, during the registration period, in order to ensure product conformity, the registered products will still be required to be randomly tested.
