Iraq COC

According to Article 8 of Chapter 3 of the Iraqi Law, the Central Standards Quality Control Organization of Iraq (COSQC) will implement the Pre-Import Inspection, Testing and Certification Scheme (ICIGI), which aims to limit non-compliance with standards, counterfeiting and counterfeiting. Products are imported into Iraq and protect their domestic consumers, producers, the environment and public safety. The Central Standards Quality Control Organization of Iraq (COSQC) has a pre-export inspection, testing and certification program for exports to Iraq (ICIGI). This project will begin on May 1, 2011. All products within the control of the Iraqi Pre-Import Inspection, Testing and Certification Program (ICIGI) must be accompanied by a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) or a Release Note. The product conformity certificate is the document required for the customs clearance of the goods and is used for customs clearance of goods in Iraq.

The Iraqi CoC is compulsory and is applied by the exporter to clear the importer at the port of destination. All products in the Iraqi control list must be processed and belong to a one-off customs clearance document.

Iraq COC Certification Considerations

Unlike the Saudi SASO certification, the Syrian CoC, etc., Iraq needs to re-verify inspections at the port of destination, including the following:

1. Check the authenticity of the CoC certificate

2. Check whether the goods arriving in Hong Kong are consistent with the relevant documents submitted.

3. Check the condition of the goods

4. Carry out packaging inspections on goods that are required to be opened by Iraqi customs.

If the above verification result is “satisfactory”, the destination port release document will be issued.

The Iraqi CoC certificate and the Iraqi VoC certificate refer to the same type of certificate, but the name is different, which refers to the product conformity certificate, which is used to clear the import port of the importer.

VoC English full name: Verification of Conformity

The Iraqi CoC and the Syrian CoC process are the same, except that Iraq needs to be verified at the port of destination, and Syria needs importers to apply for a VOR price in the importing country.

Iraq's electrical parameters are as follows

The voltage in Iraq can be marked with an interval, such as: 100V-240V, 220V-230V... are acceptable.

For the same reason, the frequency can be marked as follows: 50HZ/60HZ, 50HZ-60HZ... It is unacceptable to label 60HZ alone.

Iraq product labeling and instructions are as follows

The Iraqi COC certificate is bilingual in both English and Arabic and is used to provide importers with customs clearance for customs clearance.

For electronic and electrical products, the instructions should include the following:

1) Product name

2) Name, manufacturer

3) Trademark or identification mark

4) Model

5) The origin of the country

6) Simple description, and installation and operation in the right way,

7) Information and instructions for the home appliance 8 when troubleshooting, instructions to follow, warnings and use...etc.

Electronic and electrical products need to indicate the manufacturer's name or trademark, voltage frequency, product name, model number, etc. on the outer box. Of course, the MADE IN CHINA logo is essential.
