The International Compliance Certification Scheme (ICCP) is a comprehensive program that includes the compliance assessment, pre-shipment inspection and certification of the prescribed products, which was first implemented by the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO) since 1995 to ensure the importation. Products can fully comply with Saudi product standards before shipment. Issuing route

The ICCP program provides three ways for exporters or manufacturers to obtain CoC certificates. Customers can choose the most appropriate method based on the nature of their products, the degree of compliance with the standards, and the frequency of shipments. The CoC certificate is issued by the SASO Country Office (SCO) authorized by SASO or the PAI Country Office (PCO) authorized by PAI.

Route 1: Compliance verification before shipment

This method is best for exporters or manufacturers with very few shipments. Before shipment, you need to apply for pre-shipment inspection (PSI) and pre-shipment test (PST). A CoC certificate is available if both are qualified.

Route 2: Registration and inspection before shipment

This method is suitable for the vast majority of customers. Its advantage is that each shipment inspection (PSI) is necessary, but each shipment does not need to be pre-shipment test (PST). Evaluation plan

According to the Saudi Cabinet Decree No. 213, the original SASO ICCP has been terminated. According to Cabinet Decree No. 6386, a new product evaluation program for the export of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been approved and will replace the original SASO ICCP program.

The new rating scheme is mandated by the Saudi Ministry of Commerce to ensure that products exported to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia comply with the corresponding Saudi Kingdom standards and international standards.

The new rating scheme requires that all goods imported by Saudi Arabia must be accompanied by a Certificate of Conformity (CoC-except for products that are prohibited or exempted) - to prove that the product meets the requirements of the corresponding standard (technical standard).
