Introduction to VDE Certification

The VDE Testing and Certification Institute in Offenbach, Germany is a research institute of the German Institute of Electrical Engineers (Verde Deutscher Elektrotechniker, VDE), founded in 1920. VDE certification process

1 Submit the official application form and structural parameter list---is an important document for applying for VDE.

3 Sample delivery---When the VDE application is confirmed, it will inform the specific sample request and the relevant standards on which the test is based. After the sample is completed, it must be self-tested according to the standard requirements or submitted to the relevant domestic laboratory for prediction. After the prediction is passed, the samples can be safely and accurately sent to VDE for testing by express mail.

3) When there are important defects in the test results, the certification body will discuss the reasons for the failure with the applicant. If necessary, VDE will send the sample that failed the test for reference analysis. After the sample is modified and perfected, the re-inspection procedure is carried out, and the sample is sent again until it is qualified. If you re-send the sample within six months, the cost of retesting will be much more favorable.

VDE Certification Application Rules

2. Shortcuts for getting VDE logos on electrical components

Generally speaking, there are two ways to carry out VDE-certified type approval experiments: the first way is for the company to directly consult and complete the application process with VDE, and send a considerable number of test samples to Germany according to the requirements of VDE testing engineers, according to Germany. The VDE standard is tested on a case-by-case basis and the total cost of the test is paid at the price of the German engineer based on the total time spent on the VDE test workload. The second way is that the company first submits a "CB test" application to a CB laboratory that has a good cooperative relationship with VDE in China, and then passes the CB test report to a VDE-certified type test report. The world has joined the CB system by more than 30 countries. VDE is also a CB member laboratory. Therefore, the CB test report issued by us can basically be directly accepted, so the testing of major projects can be completed in China. However, if there are individual differences between individual DIN standards and IEC standards in Germany, the VDE engineer will notify the agent to send individual samples to supplement the difference test items, and then the test results can be comprehensively confirmed.

Comparing the two methods, it is easy to see that the first way to apply for VDE is because it is an overseas test. It is difficult for the enterprise to understand the whole experiment. In addition, the possibility of detecting VDE once is relatively small, so it is necessary to reciprocate. When sending samples to overseas, the project cycle is difficult to control. In addition, VDE German technicians have a higher labor cost per unit than domestic technicians, so the total cost may be higher. The second method seems to be divided into two stages of domestic testers' foreign supplements. In fact, it utilizes the advantages of domestic local test stations that are relatively familiar with the technical status of products, and can improve the problems in time when problems are discovered, as well as domestic and foreign labor prices.
